Our virtual music festival, 24:1900, continues to take shape. This week the following talents have signed up to take part.
POSH INVERSE (Taiwan)
Posh Inverse is a post-rock band. Their music has a cinematic quality, in the form of atmospheric instrumentals and emotive soundscapes.
Blending rock with indie in an experimental way, Post Inverse will appeal to fans of modern post-rock and bands like Explosions in the Sky.
LEIGH (New Zealand)
So what type of music is LEIGH then? Soul? Ska? Pop? Rock? Jazz? Electro? Glitched up indie? Who the fuck knows?
What we do know is that it’s brilliant; chaotic yet assured, introspective yet playful. This is like early Grimes mixed with St Vincent, with all sorts of joy thrown in in betwixt.
CIALYN (France)
Atmospheric electronic landscapes, often blending retro synth tones with modern sound design are at the heart of Cialyn’s music.
There are also elements of hauntology in Cialyn’s work, where washed-out, skewed rhythms and sentimental melodies are balanced out, much like Boards of Canada.
If you like the sound of any of these artists, please click on their Bandcamp link and show them some love.
