24:1900: New Artists - Luckas O. & Los Charros Semifenomenales (Mexico), Lilith Anthropocene (Vietnam) & Illya deTorres (U.S.A.)

This week, we welcome the following talented artists who have agreed to take part in our music festival, 24:1900

Luckas O. & Los Charros Semifenomenales (Mexico)

We have to thank last year's Mexican partner, Eliud Fernandes (CIAN) for this recommendation. And what a recommendation it it.

As soon as I heard the opening chords, I was hooked  - yes, I love mariachi. But whilst their music draws on these elements of Mexican folk music, it fuses them with 21st century sounds (jazz, rock, electronica) to generate landscapes of a contemporary Mexico.

Lilith Anthropocene (Vietnam)

Lilith Anthropocene is an experimental electronic act, where atmospheric sound design blends in with ambient, noise, and industrial elements.

Notable for its adventurous spirit, this will appeal to fans of Nine Inch Nails in their ambient/industrial moments.

Illya deTorres (U.S.A.)

Illya deTorres creates music that is rooted in folk and singer-songwriter traditions, blending introspective lyricism with elements of indie rock and acoustic storytelling.

His music is an intimate listening experience, that might remind listeners of Elliott Smith, The Mountain Goats, and other lo-fi indie acts.

Please check these artists out, and if you like what you hear show them some love.
