For this year’s 24:1900, we are partnering with Byline Times.

In these times of severed disinformation, where it’s getting harder to discern what is genuine news (be it on Fox, BBC, social media via AI bots, orelsewhere), there has been a growth in trustworthy independent news outlets over the last decade or so.

Byline Times has been at the forefront of this movement for more than 6 years; a bastion of journalistic integrity in a sea subject to the whims of the rich and powerful. As a subscriber in a personal capacity, I appreciate the depth, knowledge and truth that they provide.

We need independent organisations like Byline Times to investigate and report on news events factually, and as Byline Times state on their site “free from fear or favour”. Otherwise democracy, and life as we have known it and taken for granted, will be under further serious threat.

It is also exactly because they are independent that they need our financial support. Partnering with them, to raise money for what they do, was an easy decision.
